Packet Pick-Up Procedures
Participants must present a government issued ID to pick up race packet. Proxy Packet Pick-up (picking up a packet for someone else) the process is as follows: a copy of that participants photo ID is required and an acknowledgment of proxy pick-up will need to be signed. This copy will be retained until the completion of the event weekend as proof of packet distribution.
There are no exceptions to this rule. If you wish to have your packet picked up by proxy the photo copy of your drivers license will be retained as proof of pick up.
There is No Race Day Packet Pick-Up.
Parking
There is plenty of free parking surrounding Lulu's at Homeport.
It is suggested to arrive no later than 1 hr before race.
Not Allowed:
- Bikes / hand-crank cycles (chairs)
- Baby strollers/jogging strollers
- Dogs |
- Rollerblades/rollerskates
- Scooters
- Skateboards |
Course Time Limit
There is a 4 hour course limit to complete the half marathon race (~18:00/mile pace) If you are unable to continue at this pace you will be helped into the SAG wagon and will be transported to the finish line. The SAG wagon will only leave after the last runner has crossed the starting line and will proceed at ~18:00/mile according to chip/tag electronic timing.
The Gulf Coast Half Marathon at Gulf Shores with the nearly world famous post race party hosted by Lulu's at Homeport will feature Mile Markers at every mile and 11 well-supported water stations.
Post-Race Party fueled by Landshark Lager
The post-race party will take place just beyond the finish line at Lulu's at Homeport. Starting at around 8:15am, participants will be treated to some top shelf grub, Landshark Lager, and other assorted goodies.
One common complaint is that the awards ceremony never starts soon enough and that people have to wait around. Well in the spirit of fun we're changing the way it's done. The top finishers will be announced in our awards presentation starting at 10:00am and all other age groupers can claim their awards as soon as we wrap up with our overall awards. This way you can claim your award and never slow down the party!
All participants that complete the Inaugural Gulf Coast Half Marathon at Gulf Shores with the nearly world famous post race party hosted by Lulu's at Homeport will receive an awesome finisher medal!

Awards will be awarded 3 deep in each of the below age group for both males and females.
